He was the First President of the Saudi Chapter of Epilepsy. He served as a President from 1997-2005. As a Senior Saudi Neurologist, Prof. Al Deeb is known for his contributiona to the neurosciences in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He was the Director of the first Neurosciences Department in the kingdom at Riyadh Military Hospital. Through his absolute devotion for neurosciences in general and epilepsy in particular, he introduced the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the International League Against Epilepsy in 1996 subsequently accepted as a chapter in 1997. He also represented the Saudi Arabia in several international organizations.

In continuous pursuit of excellence and hard work, Prof. Al Deeb put his fingerprints in the development of the services and training of neurosciences in the kingdom. He held positions in local and international neuroscience societies. In the Riyadh Military Hospital he held the following positions:
